Political blocs begin preparing the ground for the upcoming elections

Political circles said that negotiations over the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives are ongoing, and while they indicated that the active political forces have begun preparing the appropriate ground for the upcoming elections, they pointed to an expected change in the form of alliances.
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives is suffering from a vacancy in the position of its Speaker that has continued for more than eight months, as the concerned blocs have not reached an agreement to nominate a consensus candidate.
Member of the Azm parliamentary bloc, Raad Al-Dahlaki, told Al-Sabah that "the stage that the political process is going through is a sensitive stage, especially since the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives is still under negotiation between the Sunni blocs," indicating that work is ongoing "to change the reality of the stage through a political agreement on the position."
Al-Dahlaki explained that "the political forces have begun their consultations to prepare for the next phase of the elections and to prepare the appropriate ground for them by preparing for the next parliamentary session, especially since we are in the last year of the current parliamentary session," explaining that "the political variables lie in the solutions that the political blocs agree upon to solve the outstanding problems." For his part, political analyst Dr. Majash' Al-Tamimi explained to "Al-Sabah" that the variables seem clear that the political forces have begun working for the next elections, and that some political forces have already begun consultations in order to develop a picture of the next phase.
