    The Hajj and Umrah Authority announced, today, Sunday (September 1, 2024), [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for those wishing to work as contractors, starting today.
    The Authority said, according to a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "within the preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH / 2025 AD, and in completion of the electronic automation in the administrative and technical procedures in the work of the Supreme Hajj and Umrah Authority, the Authority launches the "free" electronic application to work as a (contractor), and those wishing to work as a contractor who previously worked as a contractor or assistant contractor for at least one time, can register electronically through the link to the Ur portal for electronic services starting today for a period of 10 days only.
    He added, "The conditions and controls for applying to work as a contractor for the Hajj season 1446 AH / 2025 AD are that the applicant's age should not be less than (30) years and not more than (63) years, taking into account physical fitness, and that the applicant should have a middle school certificate as a minimum, and that he should have gone as a contractor once or as an assistant contractor at least once, and that the selection of contractors is based on the highest grades that the applicant obtains through the interview and evaluation."
    She added, "He must be a resident of the city from which he is applying, and this must be proven by submitting a copy of his residence card. He must be known for his good morals and conduct, and there must be no negative indicators against him through his previous work. The winner pledges to sign a contract with the authority that includes all the terms and conditions, and his commitment to implement the orders and directives of the authority and not to incite pilgrims. He must not have been convicted of a crime that violates honor or dealt with the oppressive apparatuses of the defunct regime."
    The Commission continued, "Among the conditions is that he has no connection to terrorism, does not incite sectarian strife, is committed to the state's directives and maintains the security of Iraq, has a sound position from the security aspect, is physically fit to practice his work, and is not afflicted with contagious or infectious diseases by obtaining the approval of the specialized medical committee in the Ministry of Health and the health departments in the governorates, and that he is not banned by the Commission for a year or more or any other official body, and the Commission has the right to reject any applicant according to what it deems appropriate for the requirements of the public interest.
