[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi confirmed today, Monday, the government's seriousness in obtaining the international (IOSA) certificate for the national carrier.
A statement by the ministry stated that "Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi chaired an expanded meeting today with experts from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), headed by the Vice President of the Association for the Middle East and Africa, Kamel Al-Awadhi, to discuss and follow up on developments in implementing the corrective measures required by Iraqi Airways to obtain the international (IOSA) certificate."
The statement added that "the meeting also included shedding light on the paragraphs of the consulting contract that was recently signed with IATA related to the corrective and developmental steps for Iraqi Airways, and it was emphasized to continue joint work to reach the required goals within specific time periods."
Al-Saadawi stressed the ministry’s seriousness in obtaining the international (IOSA) certificate and the third country operator certificate (TCO) for the national carrier, as it is an important factor in raising the level of safety performance in the company and paving the way for its return to membership in the International Air Transport Association (IATA), in addition to the positive returns that this step will have on the technical and commercial aspects of the national carrier. /End8[/rtl]
