Health Minister Saleh Al-Hasnawi announced today, Saturday, the allocation of 600 positions for competencies wishing to return to Iraq.
Al-Hasnawi said in a statement to the official agency: "The Ministry of Health participated in the first Arab conference for Arab immigrant competencies to strengthen the relationship between it and the health systems in the Arab world," noting that "there was a major role for the Ministry of Health and also for the Iraqi medical associations abroad and the distinguished Iraqi figures from the Iraqi competencies abroad invited to this conference."
He explained that "the scientific sessions came out with recommendations that strengthen the relationship between Arab immigrant competencies and the countries by emphasizing the need for every individual from the sons of the homeland, whether we are in Iraq or the Arab countries, to contribute effectively to strengthening the relationship and managing the relationship as well as developing services in the countries."
Al-Hasnawi continued: “We look forward to fruitful results and we will also adopt the Council of Arab Health Ministers headed by Iraq for this session and adopt these recommendations and work to achieve them,” noting that “as for Iraq, the relationship with Iraqi doctors and health cadres abroad is a distinguished relationship, and now a significant number of doctors abroad come to Iraq to provide health services in the private sector as well as to provide support and advice to our health institutions and educational institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education.”
He stressed that "the Ministry of Health recently announced the availability of 600 job positions for Iraqis wishing to return and work in the Ministry of Health, and we hope more and more to hold upcoming conferences and invite all our Iraqi people from the migrant competencies, not only health specialties but other specialties," noting that "the country is witnessing great development in the field of reconstruction, health and services and that "Al-Sudani's government is a government whose slogan is services and there is a broad and clear renaissance."
He pointed out that "the basic idea of joint operation of some health institutions with foreign companies is to strengthen the health system and the administrative system of institutions and introduce technologies, whether scientific, administrative, technological or digital, in the management of these hospitals in order to move to a modern management system and to digital institutions that do not rely on paper and provide services to citizens in health institutions in Iraq instead of going abroad."
