Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee in the House of Representatives, Muhammad Anouz, revealed that 4 important laws will soon be decided upon after Parliament resumes its sessions.
Anouz said, “The suspension of the House of Representatives coincided with the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections,” indicating that “the House of Representatives will resume its sessions after the end of the regional elections next week.”
He added, "Parliament intends to vote on four important laws after resuming its sessions," noting that "the laws are: personal status, general amnesty, cancellation of the Revolutionary Command Council's decisions related to Kirkuk lands, and retirement of the Popular Mobilization Forces."
Anouz pointed out that “among the suspended laws are the National Service Law, the National Oil Company Law, and the Federal Civil Service Law, in addition to many other laws.” He pointed out that “these laws were withdrawn by an official letter from the government with the aim of amending them.”
The member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee pointed out that “there are other important laws that are suffering from obstruction in the House of Representatives and are being suspended for political and technical reasons,” expressing his hope that “these laws will be passed during the next legislative session.”
