    Member of the Al-Fatah Alliance parliamentary bloc, MP Mohammed Karim, said on Saturday that it is likely that the amendment of the personal status and amnesty laws will be passed during tomorrow’s session, Sunday.
    Karim said in a statement to / Al-Maalouma / agency, "The parliamentary legal committee studied all the proposals put forward by members of the House of Representatives from various political forces during the second reading, and it also held several workshops with specialists and with the participation of representatives of the political forces in the committee in order to come up with a legal formula for those amendments, whether in the Personal Status Law or the general amnesty."
    He added, "The general amnesty law will not include anyone whose hands are stained with Iraqi blood."
    He pointed out that "the agenda of next Sunday's session will also include legislation on the Popular Mobilization Forces retirement law and the real estate return law."
    It is noteworthy that the Presidency of the Council of Representatives announced holding a regular session to vote on the amendment to the Personal Status and General Amnesty Laws, in addition to voting on the draft laws to return real estate and service and retirement for the Mujahideen of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
