The Iraqi government declares tomorrow a public holiday in Baghdad and the provinces

Shafaq News / The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced in a statement on Saturday, delaying the official working hours in state institutions
and departments in the capital Baghdad and other provinces on Sunday.
This year coincided with the occurrence of the tenth of Muharram that commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Hussein bin Ali , the Grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUT) on Saturday, which is a holiday of the Iraqi state in addition to Friday.
The Council of Ministers of Kurdistan Region announced on Thursday that tomorrow will be a holiday on the occasion of the tenth of Muharram.
Most Iraqi provinces are experiencing with the start of Muharram , establishment of special ritual ceremonies to commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his brother Abbas (PBUT) and their seventy followers in al-Taf battle in 61 of migration as people commemorate the events in their areas for a period of fifty days that ends with the people heading to Karbala city on 20 of Safar of each year.
