Held in Baghdad on Saturday, the National Conference on Decentralisation to discuss the law of governorates not organized province.
Director of the Prime Minister's Office in this conference, Mahdi Keywords stressed that "this conference was to complete the effort in the application of governorates not organized in accordance with the law of the province to strengthen national capacities for the country to establish the rule of pursuing decentralization."
The US ambassador in Baghdad, Stuart Jones, said that "the Iraqi provinces law will increase the confidence of the provincial authority in addition to the ability of the implementation of projects and the development of the reality of cities without referring to the central government."
He added that "the US government is working with the Iraqi government to implement this project because of its great importance to the strengthening of the provincial governments and leave the central government is working on a strategy files."
Local governments and aspires to work the existence of legal, administrative and financial environment for the success of decentralization in all provinces in the associated province.
