    16:01:05 28/02/2016 |(Voice of Iraq) - Basra announced the Inspectorate of Antiquities and Heritage in Basra for theexistence ofmore than 50% of the traditional role in theprovince need to conduct maintenance work emergency.He said theInspectorate Director Qahtan Abdul Ali said in a statement on the sidelines of the establishment of the heritage ofreligions Festival organized team (we are all citizens ) engineers Club hall in Basra ,said some of therole are mosques and other churches, noting that theInspectorate has certain criteria for the role ,which need maintenance has been ranked on the basis of (a) and is in good condition and (b) is a role that needs some repair work and maintenance and (c) a role that needed emergency maintenance. he added that thetraditional role mentioned did not take place by the realization of the maintenance and repair for many years. inturn new father Aram Bano of its claims for theChaldean Church on the restoration and maintenance of some of thechurches in theprovince, he said many churches need to themaintenance and restoration, including Martoma Church , located in theold Basra area older than more than 100 years and is now suffering from total neglect. He added that the church needs to about one billion dinars for the re -restored ,indicating that exposure to factors of nature include rain and wind caused Pthqq in some of the walls of thechurch and theroof. during theconference , also called imam and preacher of amosque of Imam Ali al- Hadi in Ataiwash Besim Idrissi area ofgovernment attention to theheritage and therole of thediverse communities in Basra, he said that although there was some maintenance work in step mosque spend Zubair , but it's not required level compared to the size of thehistory and heritage mosque.so said chairman of the Committee of Tourism and Antiquities in theBasra Governorate Council toxicity Hilfi that theprojects presented by theCommission to the concerned authorities for the maintenance and restoration of monuments and the role stalled due tofiscal austerity experienced by local and central governments. she Hilfi the higher authorities instructed theneed is now being focused sector health, education and services on and off for thearchaeological role projects.with the heritage of religions campaign coordinator Bassam Alalogi said the campaign ,which waslaunched by theheritage ofreligions organized under the national campaign umbrella to protect Iraqi antiquities announced by the concerned ministry for thepurpose ofprotection ofmonuments and in collaboration with civil society organizations.Alalogi said they issued the book ( the heritage ofreligions) and distributed copies of it to attend theparticipants during thefestival , and who knows thehistory and thenames andhistorical heritage in Basra possible. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
