Turki said in a lecture about the new foreign policy of the Saudi Arabia post the Arab Spring delivered within the conference held by Harvard University in US Boston “Iraq is an active country in the Arab world and we wish it get rid of the destructive foreign effects, so we are eager to keep on the same stance from all the Iraqi people’s communities and components.”
However, we still have major reservations over the formation of the current Iraqi government therefore we did not send an ambassador to Iraq due to those external interferences from regional countries,” he added.
The Saudi official continued saying “Despite the large debts payable on Iraq to KSA which are up to $ 25 billion, Saudi Arabia promised to give away most of these debts, but this depends on eliminating the sectarianism in Iraq, in short the KSA is determined to continue contact with the Iraqi people to ensure its stability and independence.”
“Iraq has great history as pivotal member in the Arabic society as it was and still able to be vital strength in the Arabic world spicily since Iraq is a founding member in the Arab League and OPEC and has enormous natural wealth besides its location at heart of the Middle East,” he concluded.
