Oil Minister Ali Jabar Luaibi, Iraq began to cut crude oil production over the New Year action in 2017 in line with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries "OPEC" decision.
Allaibi said, in a statement received (range Press) copy of it, that "Iraq reaffirms its commitment to OPEC 's decision , which was adopted at the last meeting in Vienna by putting a deliberate plan to reduce production from the country 's fields with the beginning of the new year , " stressing that "Iraq deal wisely with this file. "
He said the oil minister that "Iraq has been working with producers inside and outside OPEC to control the glut of oil supply in the world oil market and achieve the required balance between supply and demand to support oil prices during the next phase , " stressing that " the decision to cut oil production comes to addressing the problem of low oil prices in the global market and will no longer be needed if the producers to achieve the goals.
