Shafaq News / A police source in Anbar province revealed on Wednesday, imposing a curfew in Ramadi city and its outskirts on the background of receiving threats by armed groups to carry out armed operations.
“The security forces imposed a ban on vehicles and people in Ramadi and Falluja city until further notice,” the source who asked for anonymity told “Shafaq News”.
“The ban was imposed on the background of receiving is intelligence information that there are groups trying to carry out armed attacks,” the source added.
A wave of bombings by car bombs and roadside bombs hit on Monday; all of Baghdad, Basra, Kut, Samawah in which dozens were killed and hundreds wounded, the largest share targeted the capital
.
This wave of bombings comes a few days after the escape of hundreds of prisoners from Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons, in coordinated attacks adopted by the local wing of al- Qaeda in Iraq
