    The Basra International Airport Administration announced revenues of more than five billion dinars during the first half of this year, while the Ministry of Transport sent a specialized technical committee to determine the damage of Mosul airport and the costs necessary for its rehabilitation.
    The director of Basra International Airport Samir Younis for "morning": The revenues achieved during the first half of the current year 2017 exceeded five billion and 500 million dinars, pointing to the intention to open new air links with Europe during the near future.
    He pointed out the continuation of the process of carving convoys of pilgrims through the airport smoothly and facilitating the procedures of travel on board the aircraft, as the airport has already completed all preparations for the promotion of the establishment of special rooms to leave and coordination to receive them.
    Basra airport last week witnessed the first flights of pilgrims to the Holy Land. In a statement to Al-Sabah, the media director of the General Establishment of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Transport, Al-Sabah, sent a special committee to the city of Mosul, which includes communications engineers, observation towers and technicians. It will make recommendations regarding the extent of damage to infrastructure in the airport Mosul to the Council of Ministers for the purpose of determining the financial cost for the purpose of rehabilitation again. He pointed out that the terrorist gangs "Da'ash" caused great damage to the airport and the destruction of the radio communication equipment and the landing and takeoff platforms of the planes. He stressed that the ministry will make maximum efforts to rebuild and open it to passengers, especially as it is one of the important airports which constitute an important starting point for international lines connected to the country.
