    The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Alalak, on Tuesday, the arrival of five specialized committees problem ordered by Prime Minister Haider Abadi to Basra to discuss the problems and challenges facing the province.

    Al-Alak said in a statement to the official newspaper "Al-Sabah" that "the formed committees held separate meetings directly with the concerned authorities in the governorate and all government departments in order to address the reasons for the delay of projects, especially service and investment."

    He added that "the move was in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, who ordered the follow-up to the conditions of Basra during the meeting of the previous government," noting that "the five committees have undertaken to follow up various tasks relating to financial control and integrity and human rights as well as the two main committees, Infrastructure and investments in the governorate.

    "The five committees will prepare detailed reports on the reality of these challenges, obstacles and problems, which will in turn be submitted to the Council of Ministers, along with treatments, immediate solutions and strategic solutions to help the province to overcome its suffering in the light of its current circumstances due to its low budget," the Secretary-General said.
