    [ltr]TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran's top railway official, Ali Kazemi, said the first train journey from Qom in Iran to the holy city of Karbala in Iraq would begin next week.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The services provided by the railway sector in the country to citizens are very good," Kazemi was quoted by the state-run Tasnim as saying. "The provision of services in the cargo section of passengers is one of the policies of the Iranian railway company."[/ltr]
    [ltr]He added that "the railway sector in the country has seen good developments in recent years, including the launch of high-speed trains," noting that "at the present time, 22 Iranian provinces are linked to the railway network in the country."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The train journey from Iran to Karbala coincides with the intensive preparations for the visit of the late Imam Hussein[/ltr]
