    [ltr]The National Alliance MP Haneen Qaddo said on Thursday that the government's move to exempt some Jordanian goods from customs poses a "great danger" to the Iraqi economy, while calling on the government to develop a special strategy to promote the Iraqi product.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The government's permission to enter goods from Jordan or other countries without customs tariffs poses a great threat to the Iraqi economy," Qadu told Mawazine News. "The danger is to allow these goods to compete with the Iraqi product, which will lead to the unwillingness to enter In specific agricultural and industrial sectors and in the promotion of local product and support the Iraqi economy.     [ltr]He stressed that "the need for a clear vision in terms of how to deal with the Iraqi product as well as imported from neighboring countries," calling on the government to "develop a special strategy to promote the Iraqi product, whether (local goods or a product of vegetables and important consumables).[/ltr]
    [ltr]Mawazine News obtained documents issued by the Jordanian Chamber of Industry stating that Iraq exempted 371 Jordanian goods from customs duties.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Council of Ministers decided earlier to reduce the customs duties and provided for the unification of the customs duties and classification of the divisions into four categories with a minimum fee of 0.5% and a maximum fee of 30% based on the provisions of Article 2/1 of the Tariff Law .anthy 29/6 n[/ltr]
