Said Diyala resources director Muhannad al - Mamouri in an interview with Alsumaria's News, " The stock of Lake Hamrin (65 km northeast of B capital ) amounted to one billion and 150 million cubic meters , an increase of 450 million m Termkaab by heavy rains over the past ten days."

Al-Mamouri added that "the level of flow of flood waters and rivers towards Lake Hamrin is currently 450 cubic meters / second, which means that the increase in the reservoir in Lake Hamrin continues by heavy rain," stressing that "the recent rains will provide Diyala needs of drinking water and watering orchards during the summer season Next ". 

Lake Hamrin is the strategic water reservoir in Diyala, which absorbs more than 2 billion cubic meters of water.
