    MP for the province of Basra, Salim Shawki , on Monday, that the allocation of the province in the federal budget for the current fiscal year was not fair, while he stressed that Basra government government 14 trillion dinars of petrodollar allocations. 

    Shawki said in an interview for Alsumaria News, "The agreement that happened with the government and was included in the budget with regard to allocations Basra was not satisfactory to us or fair to maintain, but was the least harmful option not to pass the budget absolutely," noting that "Basra, which represents the lungs of Iraq The economy has suffered a lot and it provides about 80% of the budget imports of oil exports and border ports. "

    Shawki added that "Basra suffers from significant environmental effects as a result of pollution and the high rate of cancer due to the gases emitted from the oil fields, not to mention the weakness in the infrastructure and services," pointing out that "the Basra government is now about 14 trillion dinars of petrodollar allocations And the government to meet them in the form of loans or bonds to resolve the outstanding problems in them. " 

    The House of Representatives voted in its session, held on (3 March 2018) on the federal budget for the current fiscal year.
