BAGHDAD / A member of the parliamentary services committee Hoda Sajjad stressed on Thursday the need for deputies to attend the sessions in order to pass the law of sorting and ownership of agricultural land, stressing the importance of the law as it resolves a major crisis that has existed since 2003 until now.
"The draft law on the classification of lands and orchards within the basic design of the city of Baghdad and the municipalities is one of the important laws that guarantee the conversion of the sex of the land from agricultural to residential," Sajjad said in a press statement.
"The vote on the law means the delivery of services to all lands covered by the law, such as electricity, water and sanitation," she said.
"The law has reached the stage of voting and only needs to complete the quorum to vote, which is a must be achieved by members of Parliament by attending the sessions of Parliament as part of their duty to their representatives and the Iraqi people."
She stressed that "the law has a great benefit especially for the poor and will work to address the issue of abuse in a legal manner and serve the citizen." Finished
