The International Development Bank for Islamic Investment and Finance announced Sunday its first-quarter profit fell 82.6 percent.
The bank said in a statement to the bourse that it achieved "profits of 942.96 million dinars (793.1 thousand dollars), compared to profits of 5.43 billion dinars (4.6 million dollars) in the first quarter of 2017."
During the period from January to March 2018, expenditures increased to 8.57 billion dinars, compared with 5.96 billion dinars in the comparable period of 2017.
The bank's revenues in the first quarter of 2018 declined to reach JD 9.51 billion, Compared to 11.38 billion dinars in the corresponding period of 2017.
The bank witnessed a decline in its annual profits achieved by the end of 2017, by 23.35%, to reach 14.97 billion dinars in 2017, compared to 19.53 billion dinars profit in 2016.
