The Iraqi Foreign Ministry: We are following up with the Turkish authorities the abduction of Naim al-Ka'ud
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said it was following up with the Turkish authorities the kidnapping of Al-Anbar Council member Naeem al-Ka'oud.
"The ministry is following up with the Turkish authorities the abduction of the head of the security committee in the Anbar province council, Naim al-Kaoud, since the first hours of his abduction," ministry spokesman Ahmad Mahjoub said in a statement.
Mahjoub added that "the ministry reserved the details of the case to preserve his life."
Anbar provincial council announced on Wednesday the abduction of Naim al-Ka'ud, chairman of the security committee, while he was in Turkey.
