The leader of Bayrak al-Khair Mohammad al-Khalidi expected on Tuesday the visit of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to Turkey in the coming days to resolve the water shortage crisis, referring to the Turkish parliamentarians demanding the Turkish ambassador to send a message to the Turkish government on resolving the crisis.

Khalidi said in a press statement that "a high-level delegation will visit Turkey in the few days and is likely to be Prime Minister Haider Abadi headed the delegation to discuss the water crisis and resolve the issue between the two countries."

"Solving the crisis with Turkey is economic, not political," he said. "Turkey is pressing the
Iraqi government to increase investment and trade in return for increased water releases."
