[rtl]LONDON (Reuters) - The United States has unofficially asked Saudi Arabia and some of its other producers to increase crude production but did not ask for a specific figure, according to Reuters.[/rtl]
[rtl]Members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and a group of non-members including Russia, Mexico and Kazakhstan agreed in late 2016 to cut production by 1.8 million barrels per day to support falling prices in the markets.[/rtl]
[rtl]OPEC will hold a meeting on June 22 and 23 to review the agreement, which expires at the end of this year, amid expectations that producers are heading towards increasing oil production.[/rtl]
