Italian minister warns of EU disintegration in the foreseeable future

Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salviti has warned of the break-up of the European Union in the foreseeable future amid growing differences between European countries, whose migration is one of the most important issues.
Salfini said in an interview with the German magazine "Spiegel" that the future of the European Union is at risk and will be determined in the next year.
"In a year it will be clear whether there will be a united Europe," he said, adding that "much depends on the outcome of the upcoming negotiations on the budget of the Union and the elections in the European Parliament scheduled for 2019."
The Italian official added that his country would not allow more immigrants to enter its territory. "We can not even receive a single person, but we wish we could move some of them to another place," he said.
Earlier, Salfiti promised to present a "road map" on the issue of migration to the European Commission, which includes four key points: strengthening the European Border Control Agency, agreements with North African countries to ease immigration pressure, Accelerate the process of deporting illegal immigrants to their countries of origin.
