    The media office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Thursday that the latter is ready to attend a meeting of the Iraqi Council of Representatives called by his first ally, the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr to find solutions to the province of Basra, which is experiencing unrest due to lack of basic services.
    The office said in a statement today that Abadi "stresses the importance of the speed of meetings of the House of Representatives and not to disable it and to abide by the constitutional timing to accomplish the tasks entrusted to him."
    The statement added that "Abadi is ready to attend the meeting of the Council of Representatives with the ministers and officials concerned to discuss the conditions and needs of Basra and the measures taken to alleviate the suffering of its people and provide the best services for them."
    Al-Sadr called earlier in the day "the new parliament to convene immediately and a public meeting and an extraordinary public broadcast on the official channels to inform the people on the course of things by the end of next Sunday, with the presence of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior and Health and Minister of Water Resources and The Minister of Electricity and the Governor of Basra and his deputies and the President of the provincial council to develop radical, immediate, future and future solutions to Basra, but all must leave their posts immediately and if their mandate is over.
    The commander of Basra operations Lieutenant General Jamil al-Shammari on lifting the curfew in the entire province and calls on all citizens to cooperate with the security services to preserve the lives of everyone and public property.
    For his part, a security source said that the decision to lift the embargo was the result of the factions to mobilize armed demonstrations against the resolution threatened the command of operations, pointing out that the command of operations is not in control of the situation.
    Earlier this day, the operations command announced a curfew in the center and districts of the province from 3 pm until further notice.
