    Parliament speaker calls on Kuwait to visit Iraq

    President of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbousi invited an official invitation to his Kuwaiti counterpart Marzouq Al-Ghanim to visit Iraq.
    Al-Halabousi said in a joint press conference with Al-Ghanim: "We stress the importance of Kuwait's assistance and its security and economic aspects."
    He added that "the stability of Iraq contributes directly to the stability of the region," stressing the importance of "strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and activate the committees between the two houses."
    He added that "the economic aspect and the importance of activating it, because it contributes directly to the activation of trade movement between the two countries."
    For his part, said the President of the Kuwaiti National Assembly: "- What brings us more than differentiate us, and it is necessary to focus on what brings us together."
    He pointed to the importance of "coordination in all international forums to mobilize support for common issues," stressing the need to "activate the committees of friendship between the two brotherly parliaments."
    Al-Ghanim urged the governments of the two countries to activate many useful projects, especially with regard to the economic aspect.
