Iran's Revolutionary Guards targeted gunmen in eastern Syria with rockets they said were responsible for last month's attack on Ahwaz, which killed 25 people and wounded dozens.
Fars news agency said several militants were killed in the attack in the eastern province of Bou Kamal in Syria.
At least 22 people were killed in an armed attack in September in Ahvaz, the bloodiest city in Iran in more than a decade.
The Ahwazi National Resistance, an Arab group opposed to the Iranian government, announced an organization calling for the attack, but neither gave evidence.
Four gunmen reportedly opened fire on the parade in commemoration of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.
Officials and witnesses said the gunmen were dressed in Iranian army uniforms and used weapons hidden in a nearby park.
The dead included women, children and members of the Revolutionary Guard, and Iran later announced the arrest of 22 people linked to the incident.
At the funerals of the victims, Iranian Revolutionary Guards deputy chief Hussein Salami vowed a "crushing and devastating" response to the attack, which he blamed on Saudi Arabia, Israel and the United States.
Tehran has summoned diplomats from Denmark, the Netherlands and Britain to protest against what it says is hosting their countries members of the group suspected of involvement in the attack.
