The Labor and Social Affairs Committee confirmed on Thursday its intention to legislate laws to make the country free of foreign workers and give job opportunities to unemployed Iraqis, indicating that next week will see the first move in this direction within parliament.
"The Labor and Social Affairs Committee, after meeting the Minister of Labor, is determined to legislate laws to eliminate unemployment and absorb the huge numbers of graduates in various sectors," Al-Fatlawi said in a statement.
He added that "the new laws will eliminate the foreign labor, which has spread significantly in the country, and will have the share of the Iraqi share of those laws, where the working committee next week to put the issue within the parliament to provide jobs for the unemployed instead of foreign workers."
Al-Fatlawi explained that "many factories need to re-employ and exploit the young productive capacities. This will be discussed within parliament and with the Ministry of Labor to provide a work environment for graduates instead of employing Asians, especially in the private sector." Ending / 25 n
