{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Digital Media Center team monitored the use of Windows XP in one of the computers of the General Post Company of the Ministry of Communications, as shown in the ministry bulletin on its official page.
The Digital Media Center said in a statement received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, "The system of Windows XP has ended its support, and finally, in 2014 and users are no longer able to receive security updates since 2016, which opened the door wide of viruses" .
"Windows XP machines are vulnerable, and the networks associated with these devices are also at risk, which happened last year when the Ransomware virus infected a number of XP-based devices and related networks across the world, and users suffered huge financial losses "He said.
The Center noted that "these systems are no longer support the programs and applications of modern computer, in addition to not support the company producing in the event of technical problems of the system, and that Microsoft does not fix these problems."
He renewed "his call to the Iraqi government departments and institutions to modernize their devices and enter the era of digitization rather than using outdated systems and no longer suitable for the current era."
