Informed source: Political pressure to end claims to abolish the privileges of deputies

A political source confirmed on Sunday that there is political pressure exerted to end the demands to cancel the privileges of deputies.
The source said in a press statement that "there are agreements between influential forces in the House of Representatives, in order to end the demands to cancel the privileges of members of Parliament granted to them at the current session."
The source, who declined to be named, said that "political blocs and deputies have made great efforts during the last period to silence the voices calling for the rejection of a decision to the presidency of the current parliament, after taking office four months ago, which gave each member of parliament a monthly rent of three Million Iraqi dinars (equivalent to 2,500 US dollars) in addition to their salaries. "
