The General Secretary of the Ministry of Peshmerga Jabbar Yawar said in a televised statement that during a high-level meeting between the Ministry of Peshmerga and the Federal Ministry of Defense, on Tuesday, it was decided to form 5 joint regional committees in the areas of Diyala, Salahaddin, Kirkuk, Makhmour and Mosul.
Yawer added that the tasks of the joint committees will be to conduct a field survey and form a joint center. He said that the committees are scheduled to meet next week to discuss their tasks, after which the meeting points will be submitted to a higher committee for decision.
