(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halbusi, the keenness of the Parliament to activate the parliamentary friendship committees between Iraq and South Korea.
This came during a meeting with South Korean President Han Pyeong-dong, accompanied by Korean Ambassador to Iraq Jang Kyung-wook.
"During the meeting, they discussed the promotion and development of bilateral cooperation in all fields between Iraq and Korea on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the joint relations between the two countries," a statement from his office said.
"The meeting also discussed the importance of participation of Korean companies in the campaign to rebuild the country's infrastructure, exchange of technical expertise between the two countries and activate cooperation between the Iraqi and Korean legislative authorities in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples."
He stressed during the meeting "the keenness of the House of Representatives to activate parliamentary friendship committees between the two countries, and continued cooperation and openness towards all countries friendly to Iraq, including the Republic of South Korea."
