    [rtl]Al-Ahed News - Mohammed and Taha[/rtl]
[rtl]In a step in line with US hegemony and meddling in the Middle East, intelligence chief Matthew Toller, US presidential candidate Donald Trump and former US ambassador to Yemen, is expected to take over as ambassador to Iraq.[/rtl]
[rtl]The White House announced on Thursday that the US Senate has approved candidate Matthew Toler as US ambassador to Baghdad.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Why this particular time?[/rtl]
[rtl]It is surprising that the United States is sending an ambassador with intelligence specifications to Iraq ... At a time when the region is witnessing a dangerous escalation, represented by America sending its military arsenal to the Gulf, threatening an all-out war on Iran.[/rtl]
[rtl]This is an unquestioned evidence that bringing this ambassador to these specifications is part of the administration of America for this trend, which seeks to ignite the region, and plotting conspiracies, in one of the most dangerous squares of all time, the Iraqi arena.[/rtl]
[rtl]The presence of this ambassador is not optimistic, but rather a cause for concern about a future full of caution and expectations that this "intelligence" ambassador will ignite sectarian strife in Iraq.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Who is Matthew Toler[/rtl]
[rtl]Toller is the US ambassador to Yemen since 2014, and has been ambassador to Kuwait between 2011 and 2014. He has worked at Washington embassies in Cairo, Baghdad, Kuwait and Riyadh, moving between different positions.[/rtl]
[rtl]According to the White House statement, Toller "worked at the US State Department as deputy director of the North Gulf office and an official in the Egyptian office." He is fluent in Arabic, holds a bachelor's degree from Brigham Yang University and a master's degree from Harvard University.[/rtl]
[rtl]Matthew Toller is not an ordinary diplomat but an intelligence man with distinction. He has been awarded the SIA Award Intelligence and two presidential awards, and the Baker Wilkins Prize from the State Department.[/rtl]
[rtl]These testimonies support the fact that Washington does not deal in good faith in sending its diplomatic missions to countries around the world, but rather that its agents are intelligence agents who try to intervene and draw the political agenda of any country they are in.[/rtl]
[rtl]Toller is a senior US diplomat and a former adviser to the US ambassador to Iraq, a political advisor to the US Embassy in Baghdad, deputy head of the diplomatic mission at the US Embassy in Kuwait, In Cairo, as well as his political advisor at the US Embassy in Riyadh, and as deputy ambassador to Doha.[/rtl]
[rtl]The positions held by Matthew Toller in the Middle East, especially in some Arab countries that suffer from a troubled political situation, are further proof that the United States does not confer the position of its ambassador in the Middle East to where it was, so how about Iraq?[/rtl]
[rtl]In this regard, observers believe that the appointment of Matthew Toller ambassador in Iraq comes within the framework of the US military preparations and directing its naval and air forces to the Gulf region neighboring Iran, which is trying to use political provocation in addition to the military provocation through statements and interventions in the Iraqi issue targeting the latter Tehran and who With its support, and this strengthens the tension between the two countries in addition to Iraq.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Ambassador of War[/rtl]
[rtl]An official in the Iraqi government said that "there is anticipation of Trump's step of naming Toller as US ambassador to Baghdad. He is known by the leaders of the first rank of the political process in Iraq. He was present after 2003 and participated in arranging some files." It can be described as "the ambassador of war".[/rtl]
[rtl]"There is a tendency among the Americans to change the entire crew in Iraq after the results and modest gains achieved during the negotiations to form a government and the name of the Speaker of Parliament and the Republic."[/rtl]
[rtl]According to the official, "the United States is expected to take a number of actions in Iraq as the new ambassador begins to increase the escalation towards Iran, increase pressure on Baghdad to comply with US sanctions on Tehran, and strengthen the political process between Iraq and the United States" ./ finished 3[/rtl]
