The Central Bank of Iraq would like to inform all banks that it is continuing to provide them with small groups of the Iraqi currency by withdrawing the amounts from the current balances with this bank.

Thanks Rocky, this shows 1,000, 500, 250 and 50 dinar notes - how can they replace the larger notes with these and smaller ones on the way at some point without an RV? (boxcars will be needed to go shopping) - We just don't know all the ins and outs of what is really going on. The CBI opens the Trade Bank and said it would be operational by mid-May (OK-blew that out of the water), then Austria says they are opening bank(s) in Iraq, and our Asst. of Treasury is in Iraq talking about cooperation between our banks and theirs. It will be interesting to see just what happens in the next few days - I suspect there is a lot of misinformation being put out in the press (just like here).
