    President Of the Republic Dr. Barham Saleh, telephoned a number of regional leaders and Arab and foreign officials about the Turkish incursion into Syrian territory, and warned Saleh of the serious repercussions of this incursion on regional and international security, this comes at a time when Iraq is chairing a meeting on Saturday Arab foreign ministers in this regard at the request of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the support of several countries, and in consultation with Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hakim, President of the Arab League Council at its current session.
    According to a presidential statement received by "Al-Sabah", President Saleh held telephone conversations with King Abdullah II of Jordan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, and secretary general of the League of States Arabic Ahmed Abul Gheit.
    During the telephone calls, they discussed the Turkish military incursion into Syria, and stressed the need to mobilize Arab and international efforts to avoid war, to remedy a humanitarian disaster in the region, prevent terrorists from regrouping their remnants, threaten the security of the peoples of the region, and support The Syrians for a political solution that guarantees Their rights to security, peace and dignity.
    Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hakim, president of the Arab League Council, arrived in Cairo on Friday to chair an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers to be held on Saturday.
    "The meeting will discuss the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory, which represents an unacceptable attack on the sovereignty of an Arab member state of the League, taking advantage of the circumstances and current developments, contrary to the rules of international law," said Ambassador Hossam Zaki, assistant secretary general of the Arab League. .
    "The League clearly stands against the military actions and actions of Turkish forces against Syria, as these actions affect the sovereignty of a member state of the Arab League, Namely Syria," Zaki said.
    Thousands of civilians have been forced to leave their homes to escape the hostilities that have erupted in northeastern Syria, the United Nations and relief organizations said.
    Tens of thousands of civilians have been forced to flee the fighting and seek safe haven, while hundreds of thousands are at risk, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said in a statement on Friday.
