    Fayyad Nehmeh, senior undersecretary at the ministry, said in a statement to the semi-official Al-Sabah newspaper on Thursday that his ministry had announced five rounds of licenses in the past few years. Their contracts have been changed earlier and the ministry has come a long way, but as a result of low oil prices and instability and the rise of ISIS terrorist gangs in some cities, negotiations have been prevented.
    He added, that his ministry intends during the next year, to review some paragraphs of contracts licensing rounds and in the interest of Iraq, and to be more satisfied with international companies to rush in the process of making rewarding investments to develop the oil and gas sectors in Iraq, noting that it is scheduled to be reviewed paragraphs Contracts for the first, second and third licensing rounds.
    He added that the amendments were described as very good on the fourth and fifth rounds by the Department of Contracts and Licenses by virtue of experience and the past period, as it was benefited from mistakes and experiments, and many amendments have been made to them.

    He disclosed that his ministry is implementing projects to be financed by the companies to be fulfilled through the production achieved by the project, pointing to continue this trend, indicating that among the projects that have been contracted in this way is the project Nasiriyah gas capacity of 200 million standard cubic feet Daily, and the development of the field of Nasiriyah capacity of 100 thousand barrels per day, especially since the current production volume of up to 100 thousand barrels per day.
