{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The deputy of the building alliance, Abdul Amir Al-Taiban, revealed the new construction candidate for the presidency of the transitional government, describing it as "distinguished."
Al-Ta'ayban said to the "Special Coverage" program broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel tonight that "due to the desire of the Iraqi street and the angry masses, Asad Al-Eidani's candidacy for the prime minister was withdrawn."
He added that "the building is in the process of a distinguished personal study to present to the President of the Republic," noting that "through the orientation of the street's desire to test a well-known Iraqi figure, I expect the nomination of Lieutenant General Abdul-Ghani Al-Asadi to guard the next transitional government."
Al-Otaiban called on the building coalition to "nominate Al-Asadi for the position as being acceptable to the provinces and the Tahrir Square in central Baghdad," noting that "Al-Asadi is a sincere and indisputable figure."
He pointed to "the continued construction of consultative meetings with the rest of the blocs on the selection of a new personality", pointing out that "there is an orientation from the representatives (conquest and construction) to pass Al-Asadi."
Al-Atiban continued, "What happened in response to the rejection of the largest bloc candidate considered by the building coalition a violation of the constitution and the failure of the president to comply with his responsibilities according to Article 76 of the constitution."
"The president of the republic is under pressure from well-known political blocs; but this does not prevent him nor does he give him the right to pass the building candidate, and he could sit and demanded that a new candidate be presented instead of traveling to Sulaimaniyah."
