According to data released today by the Korean State Commercial Investment Support Authority, the country's shipments to Iran amounted to $ 259 million in the period from January to November last, 88.6% down from a year ago.
This number represents the largest decline among the top twenty exporters to Iran. Nevertheless, South Korea remains the 14th largest source to Iran.
Shipments of China, which is one of the largest exporters to Iran, declined by 38.8% during the period from January to September last year.
European countries and Southeast Asian countries have also witnessed sharp declines in their exports to Iran, apparently due to the economic sanctions led by the United States.
