[rtl]Baghdad / Nina / The Human Rights Commission discussed with the Baghdad Operations Command to enhance security in the vicinity of the demonstration squares and to limit the use of iron balls / Al-Sagam /.
A statement to the commission stated, "Faten Abdel Wahed Al-Halfi, member of the High Commission for Human Rights, head of the National Initiative for the Green Belt volunteer team, discussed with the leader of Baghdad operations, Major General Abdul Hussein al-Tamimi, in the presence of members of the initiative from civil society representatives, to provide adequate protection for demonstrators in the Tahrir Square and its surroundings, as well Reducing the use of stun guns that have caused many impairments among protesters and security forces. "
During the meeting, Al-Halfi stressed the need to maintain peace during demonstrations, not to resort to violence and counter-violence, and the need to provide adequate protection for public and private property.
For his part, the Baghdad Operations Commander confirmed his full support for what was mentioned as well his high interest in protecting peaceful demonstrators, adding that the security forces are a source of security and protection for the demonstrators, and there must be a joint work to reveal those who carry out these criminal acts towards them. / End 9[/rtl]
