{International: Al Furat News} The World Health Organization said that data in many countries indicate that those under the age of 50 constitute the largest segment of those infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), and require hospital treatment.
This came, according to a statement issued by Tedros Adhanum Gebriusos, Director General of the organization.
The Director-General called on the world to highlight the "Corona virus, the best of their lofty values, and to be a reason for solidarity and work together," praising "the role of young people, many of whom work to spread awareness rather than spread the virus."
He added: "Today I have a message for young people that you are not immune. Corona virus may put you in hospital beds for weeks and may kill you, even if you do not get sick, the choices you make about the places you go to, may be the difference between life and death for other people."
Adhanom stressed "the importance of testing for suspected HIV-positive cases."
He continued, "We are working hard to increase the amount of diagnostic tests, and despite the presence of many companies producing the tests, the organization buys (and recommends the use of) the supplies that are evaluated independently to ensure their quality."
The general manager indicated that "the organization cooperates with other companies to produce the necessary equipment for testing, such as the parts used to perform the survey to take the required samples."
The WHO Director-General provided some guidance and advice that the WHO recommends to individuals and communities, to health ministers, health system managers and other decision makers, to help them secure a life-saving treatment in light of the health system’s challenges, without risking the safety of health workers.
As of Friday evening, Corona infected nearly 270,000 people in 184 countries and territories, including more than 11,000 deaths, most of them in China, Italy, Iran, Spain, South Korea, Germany, France and the United States.
The worldwide spread of the virus has forced many countries to close their borders, suspend flights, cancel several events, and prevent gatherings, including Friday and Friday prayers. is over
