The local federation of peasant associations announced in Diyala on Thursday that the prices of local agricultural products increased by 30%.
Union President Raad Al-Tamimi said in an interview with "Information", that "hours after the decision to prevent the import of imported agricultural products from entering Diyala markets, the prices of local products in Allawi increased by 30%, which contributed to alleviating the great losses of the farmers."
Al-Tamimi added, “The decision to prevent the entry of imported agricultural products, which included 3 materials as a first meal (option - eggplant - trees) will lead to the recovery of the local product and raise its prices in a manner that covers costs and reduces the huge losses suffered by thousands of farmers in the past days due to dumping Markets importer. ”
