    National Committee responsible for food security, on Monday, that the
    proportion of food deprivation in Iraq declined from what it was in
    2007, but warned in a special report prepared in collaboration with the
    World Food Programme (WFP), the risk of cancellation of ration and raise

    "There
    are three options for reform of the ration card, first relying on local
    product to provide the vocabulary of ration, allocation according to
    the vocabulary of e-card system, and the third option is to keep the
    vocabulary card with trying to improve it in the coming period."

    The
    relationship to the "3% of Iraqi people spend on food consumption and
    that 20% of them devote 50% of their expenses on food only".

    drew the relationship to "food deprivation decreased in 2011 from the
    levels in 2007 and amounted to 5.7% equivalent to 900 million people,
    most of them in Basra and Baghdad, Ninawa, Dhi Qar, after about 17%",
    stating that "the proportion of the population exposed to food
    deprivation decreased from 20% to 14%.



    The
    Director of Iraq's Office of the Organization (WFP) Edward Cologne,
    that "Iraq is rich and has many resources", stating that "one of the
    reasons for failure to improve life in Iraq is a waste of time to
    consider the income rate without the concerned to develop the economic
    aspect of citizen." between the Cologne that "the solution lies in
    economic development and that social factors are not given sufficient
    importance to make poverty worse in Iraq and up to significant levels." He
    criticized the economic development rate, colon said he was "not a good
    level which can improve the country's standard of living".



    The Cabinet Secretariat announced, Wednesday 28 November 2012, set up a Commission to regulate and ration card system.



    The
    Cabinet decided on (6 November 2012), replacement of the existing
    ration cash distributed to covered by the system (15) 1,000 dinars per
    person, to announce a series of rejection and opposition to undo the
    decision on 11 November 2012, and work on a referendum on the subject.
