Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Naji Al-Saeedi, announced, on Sunday, that there is a financial deficit of 3 trillion to pay the salaries of this September, stressing that the government is unable to secure the salaries of employees.
Al-Saeedi said in a statement to "the information", that "the Iraqi state budget law for 2020 is a borrowing law enveloped in the budget framework," indicating that "the Iraqi government is unable to pay the necessary salaries and operating expenses."
He added, "The government resorted to sending a budget for four months, which is a new borrowing law to fill the salary deficit, especially the month of September, which estimates the value of the deficit at 3 trillion Iraqi dinars."
Al-Saeedi pointed out that "the government is working to send the budget to the House of Representatives to borrow through treasury bonds from the Central Bank of Iraq." Ended / 25 h
