{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Transport, the General Company for Iraqi Ports, held a meeting for the directors of the finance and auditing departments and officials of the people of the northern port of Umm Qasr with the Electronic Management Authority for Ports to discuss the transition to completing the installation of all gates electronically.

The Director General of Iraq Ports Farhan Muheisen Al-Fartousi said in a statement that the Euphrates News Agency received a copy of it today that "Iraqi ports have determined the sites and requirements for setting up these electronic gates to be ready to implement this system according to modern mechanisms followed in advanced port systems from countries of the world."
And the official of the electronic administration, Muhammad Musa, said, "We held our first meeting to negotiate with the ports and departments concerned in completing the installation of electronic gates and coordinating with the Engineering Affairs Department to determine the sites and requirements for setting up gates to be implemented and entered into the collection and electronic management system, revealing some of the gates that entered into the work according to the electronic system and some others. In the process of extending the network’s cables and determining their locations to enter the service electronically. The coming period will witness the application of an electronic collection system for all port gates.
