[rtl]Kirkuk ( NINA ) - Members of the House of Representatives asked for the Turkmen component that exporting Kirkuk oil should be an exclusive task of the Oil Ministry.
Turkmen representatives said in a press statement: "We demand that the Kurdistan Regional Government be committed to exporting the oil produced from the fields of the region through SOMO, in compliance with the previous Federal Court decision, taking into consideration the costs of transportation, extraction and operation, and the quantities consumed locally in the region in proportion to the size of the population."
In their statement, they demanded that the export of oil produced from the fields of the North Oil Company be the responsibility of the Federal Ministry of Oil exclusively through the SOMO company, with legal guarantees being given to preserve the benefits of the people of Kirkuk Governorate from all the extracted quantities within the administrative boundaries of the governorate.[/rtl]
