The Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee announced, on Sunday, that 90% of the private and public sector partnership law has been completed.
Committee member Nada Shaker Jawdat said, "One of the most important laws that must be focused on at this stage is the partnership between the private and public sectors, and other important laws that are in the interest of correcting the economic situation."
She pointed out that "the Parliamentary Economic Committee is working to assess the economic situation, and scheduling its work with the relevant ministries to draw up new plans that keep pace with the size of their budgets to provide the available resources, in addition to its intention to approve the partnership law, and 90% of its paragraphs have been completed, in addition to strengthening and supporting other laws such as investment." She added that "human capabilities are able to change the Iraqi economic reality to its best by supporting legislation, including the law on partnership between the private and public sectors, which contributes to the country's industrial development and supports it economically and provides a large cash block at home."
Jawdat pointed out that "strengthening and correcting the local industry and relying on it represents the best solution to avoid the rise in the prices of imported products, which constitutes a successful action plan for ministries to evaluate their factories in two ways; either offering them for investment or evaluating them and working to operate them with local competencies and experiences, in addition to relying on the combination of development and benefit.
