, Head of the Integrity Commission and Head of the Stolen Funds Recovery Fund, Alaa Jawad, said on Wednesday that dual citizenship is resorted to by some officials with investment and corruption.
Jawad said, in a speech during the International Conference for the Recovery of Stolen Funds, which was held today in Baghdad, that "the conference is an important step to recover Iraq's funds, and we hope that the conference will lead to recommendations to return the looted funds."
He added that "some countries are incubators and stand as an obstacle in returning the looted funds," noting that "Iraq is still suffering from the lack of cooperation by countries in recovering the funds."
