    companies to comply with the terms and regulations of the Central Bank
    on selling hard currency and not the complaint procedures imposed to
    curb money laundering.

    Mayahi said "banks and broker companies
    (banking) the obligation imposed by the Central Bank of the laws and
    regulations rather than on the sale of hard currency in the Central Bank
    auction.

    Explained: these actions have many advantages and will
    serve the national economy, as they fight the phenomenon of money
    laundering that have spread recently, calling the banking firms control
    to control money laundering and the protection of the Iraqi economy,

    US Treasury offer help to combat money laundering in Iraq

    combat money laundering in Iraq, through the transfer of international expertise on the procedures for monitoring and controlling the movement of funds.

    He said a Government statement received/JD/copy: the Cabinet Secretary Ali Mohsen Ismail discussed with a delegation from the US Treasury Department, headed by Deputy Minister David Cohen and his entourage, ways to support the financial and banking system in Iraq and review Iraq's efforts in combating money-laundering.

    The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers the reform steps taken by Iraq on the report of the Working Group of the Middle East and North Africa, and on the report of the detailed evaluation of the Republic of Iraq on combating money-laundering and amend the anti-money laundering Act and activating the role of the Office in charge of the control of the Central Bank and other procedures.

    Deputy u.s. Treasury Secretary was ready to support Iraq's efforts to strengthen the financial and banking system and transferring international experiences on control measures and control the movement of funds to combat the phenomenon of money laundering linked to corruption or organized crime or terrorism/finished/22/
