    {Local: Al Furat News} The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz Al-Khabbaz, discussed today, Saturday, with his Lebanese counterpart, Georges Bushkian, aspects of joint industrial cooperation.

    The ministry stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that: "The two sides discussed during the meeting aspects of industrial cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon and the most important opportunities and projects available in various industrial fields."
    Al-Khabbaz stressed "the strong brotherly relations that bind the two countries, the Prime Minister's interest in the Lebanese file, and the Iraqi government's willingness to support the Government of Lebanon," noting that "the Ministry of Industry and Minerals is concerned with the industrial field of government factories and the mixed sector, and in drawing up general policy for the private industrial sector, and it handles everything related to matters relating to Mining and mineral resources in Iraq.
    He stressed "the necessity of establishing strategic industrial projects in cooperation with Arab countries in light of the availability of natural resources, competencies and expertise in order to reach real and successful partnerships that achieve economic gains for Arab countries."
    For his part, the Lebanese Minister of Industry affirmed "the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries and the pride of the Lebanese government and people in Iraq for their great positions with Lebanon in all difficulties and adversities," expressing "his hope to strengthen cooperation and work with Iraq in all fields."
    The Lebanese Minister of Industry arrived in the capital, Baghdad, today, Saturday, on an official visit to participate in the second Iraqi-Lebanese Business Conference, which will be held from January 10 to 11.
