United". Al-Zubaidi pointed out that “the integrated system of computerization of customs procedures is an effective tool in the hands of the customs authority, and it is managed exclusively by its human resources, who are at a high level of efficiency and professionalism in the application of information and communication technologies, and its connection between the customs authority and its centers and state departments supporting border crossings on the one hand, and countries and ports on the one hand, and countries and ports on the one hand. country on the other hand.” And he stated that "the new system will lead to the elimination of interference in the powers and the margin of personal diligence, acceptance and processing of manual (manifest) and customs permits for shipments and goods for import, export, and transit, and the payment of fees and taxes due, to customs clearance of goods." Al-Zubaidi added that “the Minister of Finance, Ali Abdul Amir Allawi, had signed in Baghdad, last May, a document to automate and modernize the (General Customs Authority) system with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in its updated version, which the United Nations provided free of charge to Iraq to be among the 80 A country that applies it in trade exchange globally, as those countries achieved, when applying it, nearly 50% of the lost revenues as a minimum.” And he indicated that "the necessity of the system lies in its techniques to improve the customs administration systems that must be implemented in the management of systems that help government efforts seeking to join the global economic systems and speed up the completion and simplify the procedures and secure them from corruption and waste of public money."[/size]
